1. The world as we see it today (3:13-16):
   a. The wicked are ‘blessed’ and the righteous suffer
   b. Response: Is serving God ‘worthless’ or ‘wonderful’?
2. The world as it will be on the Day of the LORD (3:17-4:3):
   a. The wicked suffer eternal judgment
   b. The righteous experience eternal blessing
   c. Response: Are we ready for the Day of the LORD?
3. As we wait for the Day of the LORD (4:5-6):
   a. Listen to and obey God’s Word
